1200MM Series
This budget priced Metallurgical Microscope series features two models, one with reflected light and the other with both reflected and transmitted light. These microscopes are ideal for work on opaque samples. The advanced features and precision optics make this an outstanding value.
The viewing head is Seidentopf and trinocular with an erect imaging, multi-coated transmission prism system. Its angle of inclination is 30 degrees, it rotates 360 degrees, and the interpupillary adjustment is from 55- 75mm.
The nosepiece is quadruple with reversed ball-bearings. Both models are supplied with four DIN Plan Achromatic long working distance objectives, 4x, 10x, 25x and 40x. A graduated mechanical stage (185 x 140mm) with low position fine focus controls, graduated to 2 microns per division allows for comfort and ease of use. The Abbe Condenser 1.25 N.A. has an iris diaphragm, easily centered spring loaded knobs and is focusable with a rack & pinion mechanism.
There is a dual halogen illumination system, upper and lower, each 6v 20w variable quartz halogen on model #1242. The transmitted illumination provides for Kohler illumination and is supplied with blue and neutral density filters and centerable knobs. The incident illumination system includes condenser, iris diaphragm; four-color filter wheel (yellow, green, blue, & neutral) and polarizing filter.
The base is stable 210 x 180mm fitted with anti skid rubber feet and made of all cast metal construction, black hand rests and stain resistant enamel finish. Dimensions are 210mm (L) x 180mm (W) x 400mm (H), net weight is 7.5 kg. The microscope comes with a five year manufactures warranty plus an additional extended one year internet for a total of six years.

3035 Metallurgical Series
This microscope is specifically designed for identification and analysis of metals & alloys. It features a pair of W.F. 10x eyepieces with an 18mm field of view. The microscope comes with a Siedentopf trinocular head that is inclined 30°, rotatable 360°, with a 55 - 75mm diopter adjustment range. Included is either a photo or CCTV tube. The optics are DIN standard ,Plan, parfocal, parcentered objectives, 5x (18.3mm WD), 10x (8.9mm WD), 20x 8.7mm WD) and 50x(2.02mm WD) objectives . An extra large double-plate graduated mechanical stage 150mm 200mm with vernier scales provides excellent specimen location (travel area 30mm x 30mm). Illumination is centerable Koehler 6 volt 30 watt halogen illumination system with blue, green and yellow filters included. The stand is ergonomically designed, very durable, made of cast alloy aluminum with an acid resistant almond finish. The system is ideal for studying metallography, heat treatment and metal physics.

MEC2 Series
For almost half a century Unitron has been a leader in the industrial field for high quality metallurgical microscopes. This new model incorporates a modular design with Infinity Plan Achromatic Objectives which yields higher resolving power with a flat superior image.
The configured model below includes a Siedentopf trinocular head inclined at 30° with interpupillary distance adjustment of 48-75mmwith and photo tube. A pair of widefield 10x/20mm eyepieces are standard which have individual diopter adjustments and rubber eyeguards. The nosepiece is quintuple with positive click stops. Infinity Plan Achromatic objectives 5x, 10x, 20x and 40x are standard. An attachable mechanical stage is included along with six insert plates. The coaxial controls are ergonomically placed and provide ease of control for the user. Illumination is provided by a 6v 30w Koehler illuminator with field diaphragm and filter slots. For Reflected and Transmitted Brightfield Illumination, this series is equipped with either an erect binocular or regular trinocular viewing head which is inclined at 30 degrees and rotatable 360 degrees for comfort viewing.
The interpupillary distance is adjustable between 52 mm - 72 mm. The eyepieces are DIN KHW10X super wide 20 mm field of view.The optics are housed in a quintuple ball bearing nose piece for smooth operation. The objectives are infinity corrected S. Planachromat M4x, M10x, M20x and M40x optics.
