This shop microscope is compact in design and comes with a widefield 10x eyepiece. It is ideal for viewing print, textiles or other industrial applications. Three models are available in 20x, 50x and 100x formats supplied with either 2x, 5x, or 10x objectives (160mm tube length). Optional measuring reticles are available and come into sharp focus. Focusing is achieved with the coarse adjustment knob on the side of the barrel. Illumination is via a penlight with holder on a swivel mount, requires two AAA batteries not included. The microscope is cast aluminum frame with beige enamel finish. It is 9" high (230mm) and weighs 1.43 Lbs. (0.65kg). Included is a manufactures five year warranty and free one year extended warranty on the microscope only. The penlight comes with a one year warranty. Included is a rugged carry and storage case that makes it easy to take anywhere on the job.

The TM-8 and TM-10 Measuring Microscopes were designed to bridge the gap between the Zoomatic TM-II (Zoom Objective 30X-160X Magnification) Toolmakers Microscope and the Modular Toolscope Single Objective Measuring and Alignment Microscopes. The TM-8 and TM-10 have designed into their system all the features necessary for high magnifications. They have the special advantage of a Coaxial Illuminator with a condenser and filter plus sub stage illuminator. An extra micro-screw ultra-fine depth focusing knob, in addition to the standard Rack & Pinion focusing, three objective lenses revolving nosepiece with a positive stop, depth measuring attachment with a zeroing screw and many other advantageous features. The TM-8 and TM-10 Measuring Microscopes as purchased come with the following magnifications: 50X, 100X and 200X, with a 10X Eyepiece and 5X, 10X and 20X Objectives. A separate 20X Eyepiece can be purchased which will double all the above magnifications to 400X. The advantage of this is that you keep a long working distance. We then have available as optional extras separate objective lenses to the simplest of 1X and the highest of 40X. At 800X which can be obtained with the 40X Objective and 20X Eyepiece the measuring capabilities of the Eyepiece Reticle is greatly enhanced. It should be quite easy to measure in the X-Y axis to .00005" and the same depth measurements. For holding small steel stampings, cutting tools, shafts and irregular shaped parts, may we recommend our Miniature Magnetic V Block No. 2076, or Large Magnetic V Block Model MV-50 or Magnetic Rectangular Block Model #250. Depth Measurement is obtained through a .0001" Division Mechanical or Electronic Indicator (not included). Any standard indicator with a .375" stem will work. This indicator is not furnished with the unit. The principal of in and out focus is used. Focus on the work piece area to be measured, zero the indicator, raise or lower the vertical coarse and fine adjustment to the new height or depth in focus and read the indicator for the difference.

The Zoomatic series is ideal to measure complex dimensions, inspect shapes and examine surface finish.

There are two models available, the TM-II which has a 2.5" stage travel in the X axis and 1.90" in the Y travel compared to the TM-IV which has a 5.375" travel in the X axis and 9" travel in the Y axis. The objectives are 3x - 8x variable zoom yielding 30x to 80x continuous magnification with the supplied 10x eyepieces or 60x to 160x with 20x eyepieces.

Both share the same common base and optical frame. The material is cast Meehanite. The base size is 7.50" wide, 3.50" high and 10.75" long with 4 adjustable leveling legs. The base contains a green sub stage illuminator and transformer for both illuminators, sub stage and ring. The Vertical Post is 14" high and 1.377" diameter with a helical groove for the coarse focusing adjustment. The TM-II and TM-IV comes standard with a bracket to accommodate Depth or Z Axis Measurement. The Indicator for this bracket is not included with the unit. The unit is constructed so that anyone can operate it to measure the most complex work piece with repetitive accuracy in a minimum amount of time.
